If you have physical locations using Shopify POS, you may be wondering if you can sell Givy gift cards in person.
Here's what you need to know:
You can sell digital gift cards to customers in store
Important! You must add a customer to the POS order with an email address
The customer will be emailed their gift card
You cannot sell gift cards with custom amounts. Only the fixed denominations should be used when selling a gift card in person
You cannot sell a gift card or product as a gift
Givy requires a bunch of recipient information to make this happen, and POS isn't capable of collecting that information
If you accidentally sell a gift card in person and don't have a valid email address associated with the customer, Givy will notify you by email, and flag the gift card in the admin. You can then add a valid email address and send the gift card electronically.
