This feature is limited to certain paid Givy plans
By default, Givy lets Shopify generate gift card codes when a gift card is purchased or created in the app. These codes are 16 alphanumeric characters by default (letters and numbers).
If you'd like to customize the format of the codes generated by Givy, you can do so by opening the Settings page, and scrolling down the General tab to the Gift Cards section.
Here, enable the option for "XXXXX", and enter the code format you would like Givy to use.
Code Formats
As a general rule, the code must contain at least 8 randomly generated alphanumeric characters, can only contain letters and numbers, and must be 20 characters or less. Use an asterisk (*) to represent randomly generated characters.
Set the length to 8:
