Recharge subscription integration

A few steps you'll need to take to make Recharge work with Givy

Updated over a month ago

While Givy already works seamlessly with Recharge to allow customers to buy subscriptions as memberships, Recharge requires that we update subscription discounts in their app. Please complete this integration prior to selling any gifted subscriptions.

Create Recharge API Token

First, you'll want to create a new API token so that Givy can update Recharge subscriptions with the correct permissions. Navigate to:

  • Tools & Apps > API Tokens

Then click the button to create a new API token.

You can name it anything you'd like, enter your email, then choose the following permissions:

  • Orders: Read access

  • Discounts: Read and Write access

  • Subscriptions: Read and Write access

  • Customers: Read and Write access

  • Store Information: Read access

Save the API token, then on the API tokens page, click the copy icon to copy it to your clipboard.

Finally, in Givy, under Integrations, find Recharge, click Configure, paste your token into the Api key field, and click Save.

If you get an error, this generally means you didn't select the correct permissions

That's it! Now, when a subscription is purchased, Givy will automatically update it with the correct discounts.
